Playing catch up!

So a lot of time has passed since we posted an update- life goes by SO fast!!! What have we been up to...For Halloween we weren't really planning anything because our honeymoon was the day after but we ended up doing a last minute costume- ghosts!!! Five of us threw sheets over our heads and went out- what a hoot!! We went on our honeymoon on the 1st of November (my birthday passed while we were there- best birthday ever!). We went to Antigua.. It was a dream vacation! We ate, relaxed, ate, took naps, ate, and drank!!! There were some bugs there (sand flies) that bit our whole bodies so the time we got home we were itchier than we'd ever been!! That part was miserable so I keep telling
Patrick we need a re-do next year!!We are getting all our Christmas decorations up, planning the annual ugly sweater party/ Patrick's 32nd b-day celebration, and diligently working on getting the bikini biz up and running! Went shopping on black Friday- waited in line at 3am at Staples and got a laptop and a printer- saved $400!! Cha-Ching!!!More to come soon- promise I'll make more time for updates!!! A Very Full Life.

I recently applied for a new position at the University- a management position that I have wanted for some time now. After two TOUGH rounds of interviews I ended up landing the job! So I'm now the manager of the Quality Assurance Department!! It's been about a month now and I love every second of it- even though it's HARD work! I was offered a trip to Texas for UOP's annual top performer summit which was a blast- we heard some great speakers, we had wonderful food, and I got to see Dallas! Patrick has been working overtime on his truck- it's very close to being done! The lift looks really nice and the fact that he did it makes it that much more awesome. We just got back from camping along the Rim with my good friend and her family, it was so nice to get away and Patrick got some fishing time in so he was a happy camper : ) We had our first annual BBQ/Pool party- the picture says it all (SUPER FUN!). I know it's hard to see but I'm wearing a bathing suit that I designed! We are working on getting our wedding thank you's out this week and the 4th of July will be spent with Patrick's family celebrating the life of his late Grandma. The dust has settled...

So now that all the wedding events have come to a close, we find ourselves back in our usual routine, which is refreshing. I had the best time planning the wedding but WOW that was stressful! It was well worth it, I posted a few pictures to prove it : ) What an amazing day.



I have returned to starting my new business in entering the bikini world- I'm super excited to get going! My manufacturer is working on finishing my patterns and is making samples so we can work out any kinks so we can start producing them! I'm working on the details for the photo shoot for the website, finding the models, the sets, the shoes, etc. All very fun!



Our honeymoon is fast approaching- September will be here before we know it!!

WE'RE MARRIED!

What a BLAST! We were married on Saturday, the weather was perfect, all our loved ones were there, and I married my best friend. It was our dream wedding and we are soooooo touched by the outpouring of love from everyone. We had the UofA mascots (which I successfully surprised Patrick with, and a photo booth!). We are so blessed.

Where should I begin??

WOW so only 2 weeks left until the BIG DAY! We have been SO busy food tasting, finishing the head count, the favors, etc.! One of the things we have been needing to do was buy our wedding rings- easy, right? NOT! We took my engagement ring to a jeweler so we could pick out a new setting and wedding bands. That is when Patrick discovered the diamond I've been wearing since he asked me to marry him in November WASN'T OURS!!!! It was measuring smaller than the one his mother gave him (which was his great grandmother's diamond) so long story short he took it back to the original jeweler and they "accidentally" switched our diamond with someone else!!! Needless to say we got Patrick's family stone over to our new jeweler and he is going to re-propose when the ring is done! I told him I needed him to do that- it would make me feel better : ) So more to come, I'm sure- but for now just finishing last minute things and getting SO excited for the upcoming events! This weekend is the bridal shower/bachelorette party! YAY!!!

Loving life and each other!

So Patrick and I are having a BLAST planning the wedding- we LOVE throwing parties and this is the KING of parties!! This week we need to select a DJ, and taste cake! YUM :) I can't imagine life without Patrick and I am so excited to be his wife. One of our bridesmaids treated us to an engagement photo shoot with one of her great friends, Michelle, who is a very talented photographer. We all hiked up South Mountain to hopefully get some great shots- both myself and the photographer were sick and in HEELS! We did it though, and I think we got some great shots! Wedding Planning Bliss!

So the wedding planning is in full swing! We are meeting photographers, DJ's, florists, officiants, etc. It seems like we have a lunch meeting every day with another vendor!!! Luckily things are going very smoothly, we are signing contracts, and are staying sane :) A bunch of us girls went dress shopping, I tried on some great dresses and some doosies! I ended up finding the dress of my dreams and am SO excited to wear it!!! Is it April 3rd yet?? Patrick went and picked out all the boy's tux's and the girls are trying on dresses as we speak! So for now all is well, I'm fighting turning into a Bridezilla and hope the rest of the planning and the big day go as smoothly as it has thus far!
